This is how you could make an impact

 

In this role, you will combine deep textile craftsmanship with commercial leadership. You will develop, source and purchase textile and apparel products that are on-brand, sustainable and compelling, while driving innovation and continuous improvement across the value chain with a close cross-functional team.

 Responsibilities

 

  • Lead textile and apparel purchasing (final product, Tier 1) with a strong focus on business and customer needs, innovation, trends, and low-impact materials and processes.
  • Drive hands-on product development within textile categories such as jackets and vests, headwear, knitwear, polos, tees, and more.
  • Secure best-practice in product and production, including materials, qualities, production techniques, trims, accessories and packaging.
  • Develop and manage existing suppliers to match portfolio and customer requirements, including core development, print-on-demand, and refinement setups.
  • Lead sourcing and negotiations for the textile categories globally, ensuring the right supplier choices for quality, sustainability, lead-time, risk, and cost.
  • Align supplier base and value chain setup with business needs, strategy, category plans and brand values.
  • Track supplier performance and follow-up through cost transparency, quality and sustainability KPIs.
  • Drive sustainability and compliance activities across the category, with a clear focus on climate, resources, and people.
  • Ensure operational excellence in order handling and system workflows/administration.
Profile description:

Who you are

A relationship builder who maximizes partnership potential and develops suppliers over time, with solid experience from the textile and apparel industry.

A senior professional with deep material knowledge and a true passion for the product.

Structured, analytical, and known for strong follow-through.

A team player used to close cross-functional collaboration with designers, portfolio managers, buyers, logistics and sustainability professionals.

Comfortable working independently, proactive, and driven by continuous improvement.

Required skills

5+ years of experience from purchasing in the textile and apparel industry

Deep purchasing and product development experience within textile categories, materials, value chains and processes

Relevant University Degree

Hands-on experience in product compliance, certifications and climate reporting

Skilled in MS Office, comfortable using Dynamics 365, PLM and AI tools

Strong in communication. Fluent in English and Swedish, written and spoken
