Network Engineer, Göteborg

You will join a global team at an international company in the powertrain industry, where network stability, security and performance are business-critical. The environment includes both wired and wireless infrastructure across multiple sites, with a strong focus on secure access, operational reliability and modern network management.

In this role, you will help design, implement and improve enterprise network solutions while working with technologies such as Cisco ISE and Catalyst Center. You will be part of a collaborative setup where network engineering, security and automation come together to support a complex industrial landscape. • You will design, implement and manage the organization's network infrastructure in a global environment.
• You will help ensure strong security, reliability and performance across both wired and wireless network systems.
• You will work hands-on with solutions such as Cisco ISE and Catalyst Center, or equivalent technologies, to optimize network operations.
• You will drive monitoring, troubleshooting and continuous improvements to increase visibility and stability in the network landscape.
• You will contribute to automation initiatives that streamline operations and support more scalable infrastructure management.
• You will collaborate with colleagues across teams and regions to develop secure, robust and future-ready network solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, especially 802.1X.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and automation.
• Solid experience managing firewalls, for example Fortigate or Palo Alto.
• In-depth knowledge of SD-WAN and MPLS.

• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices, including segmentation, NAC, firewalling and zero trust concepts.
• Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting and observability tools such as SNMP, NetFlow, logs and packet inspection.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise wireless networking, including design, deployment, RF optimization, troubleshooting, 802.11 and 802.1X.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Python or similar tools.
• Familiarity with SDN technologies and modern network automation concepts.
