Data Center Technician (Electrical) 📍 Location: Linköping 🏢 Company: CBRE 🕒 Employment Type: Full-Time (FTE) - Part of a 3 FTE team 🔧 Scope: OSA Scope About the Role CBRE is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Critical & Technical Services team. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a critical data center environment. You will play a key role in ensuring operational reliability, safety, and performance across electrical and engineering systems. What You'll Do
- Assist with daily site inspections of all mechanical and electrical systems, including servicing and maintenance
- Ensure the facility maintains safe and optimal environmental conditions
- Respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms and carry out emergency repairs
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all equipment
- Monitor BMS systems and respond to HVAC and technical issues
- Conduct building walkthroughs and take meter readings from UPS, PDUs, and utilities
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve facility and plant faults and defects
- Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with CBRE processes and regulations
- Escalate any subcontractor performance issues against service agreements
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and perform routine quality checks
- Follow all health, safety, and compliance standards
- Complete all required training and certifications What You'll Need
- Technical training (apprenticeship or equivalent) with 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Electrical competence is required
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members
- Ability to follow defined procedures and work standards
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset
