Job description:

Are you an experienced Software Architect with a strong background in C#/.NET and a passion for building solutions that make a real difference? Join us at Epiroc and help shape the architecture behind innovative digital solutions for sustainable mining and construction. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical expertise with the ability to guide, mentor and bring others forward.

It all starts with people. People like you.

Join our team

You will join an IoT Platform organization - an international, diverse, and highly collaborative environment where software developers, architects, and product owners work side‑by‑side to enable the next generation of data‑driven solutions. Together, we build the platform that collects machine data and transforms it into real value for customers and internal stakeholders across Epiroc.

Your mission

First our product manager(s) define “the What”. Then a key part in this architect role will be to contribute with “the How”. Your mission is to take an active role in shaping and developing the software architecture within the teams while also staying close to the development work. You will work for solutions that are well designed, sustainable and aligned with both current and future needs. Together with our Lead Architect and fellow architect colleagues you will form a strong architectural team that relentlessly implements and follows up on a solid architectural roadmap and ways of working. This role will start to focus on one of our development teams and then gradually expand its responsibility towards several teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive and contribute to good software architecture
  • Support architectural discussions and technical decision-making
  • Be involved in creating the architectural style and then heavily contributing towards the architectural patterns, design patterns and design principles
  • Designs end-to-end IT solutions that align with business goals
  • Work with C#/.NET IoT solutions such as file transfer, device management & data handling and more towards cloud rather than machine
  • Collaborate closely with developers, teams and other internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and bring new perspectives into the team
  • Balance hands-on contribution with guiding others in their technical development
  • Designs software components and modules
  • Set coding standards
  • Solve technical challenges like code scalability, maintainability, security and performance

Your profile

You enjoy collaborating with others, sharing your knowledge and helping the team move forward while still contributing strongly to the technical delivery. You bring solid software architecture experience, new perspectives and a positive, engaging approach.

We believe you have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a software architect or in software development with a lead role in software architecture matters
  • Experience working in roles where you have contributed to architectural direction, technical design, senior-level development or set up complex foundations that other teams could built their deliveries upon
  • Very strong knowledge in C#/.NET
  • The ability and interest to support developers
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • A positive and engaging approach
