Job Overview
Role Summary
An experienced Project Manager is required for a long-term consulting assignment with an international product company in the automotive industry. The role involves leading technical product development projects in close collaboration with internal specialist teams and external customers, including international vehicle manufacturers.
You will play a central role in driving the development of customer-adapted products and technical solutions, from requirements definition and project planning through to completed product delivery. The work is conducted in a cross-functional environment involving design engineering, manufacturing engineering, procurement, quality, and commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical product development projects from initial requirements and planning through product completion and delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional project activities across engineering, production technology, procurement, quality, and commercial teams.
- Drive project progress, quality, and delivery performance in accordance with agreed plans and customer expectations.
- Act as an important technical point of contact for customers, including international vehicle manufacturers.
- Support the development of customer-specific products and technical solutions.
- Manage project communication and alignment between internal specialist functions and external stakeholders.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Technical project management within product development.
- Requirements management and project planning for customer-adapted technical products.
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality functions.
- Understanding of product development environments within the automotive industry.
Qualifications & Experience
The assignment requires an experienced Project Manager with a background in technical product development. Experience working in an automotive context and collaborating with international customers and vehicle manufacturers is highly relevant. The successful consultant should combine technical project leadership capability with customer-facing communication and commercial understanding.
Location
The role is based in the Värnamo region of Småland, Sweden, with a hybrid working arrangement of approximately three to four days on site per week and one to two days working remotely.
