Job Overview
Role Summary
An experienced Automotive Application Tech Lead / Software Architect is needed for a technically advanced consulting assignment within the automotive industry. The role focuses on leading the technical development of application-layer software for modern vehicle platforms, delivering robust, scalable, and production-ready solutions.
You will serve as a key technical resource, translating customer needs and product requirements into clear technical solutions. Working closely with system architects, product owners, and development teams, you will drive architectural decisions, technical direction, and quality activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development of application-level embedded software for automotive platforms.
- Translate customer needs and product requirements into maintainable technical solutions and software architecture.
- Drive architectural choices, technical design decisions, and engineering quality practices.
- Collaborate with system architects, product owners, and cross-functional development teams.
- Support the delivery of robust, scalable, high-performance, and production-ready applications.
- Ensure applications integrate effectively with the overall vehicle platform.
- Contribute to software areas including connectivity, ADAS and perception, infotainment, HMI, reference applications, and developer tools.
- Ensure software deliveries meet agreed quality, performance, and delivery requirements.
Technical Stack & Requirements
- Strong experience with C++ software development.
- Embedded software development for automotive or vehicle-platform environments.
- Software architecture and technical design for scalable application software.
- Integration of applications with broader embedded vehicle platforms.
- Experience with automotive connectivity, ADAS, perception, infotainment, or HMI-related software is relevant.
Qualifications & Experience
The assignment requires an experienced embedded software technical lead with strong C++ and software architecture capabilities. Candidates should be comfortable taking ownership of technical decisions, working across architectural and application layers, and collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders in a complex automotive development environment. Experience from one or more of connectivity, ADAS, perception, infotainment, HMI, reference applications, or developer tools is advantageous.
