Software & Simulation Factory (SSF) is a centralized organization within Volvo Group, responsible for embedded software across multiple business areas, including trucks, buses, marine, and construction equipment. We support the full software lifecycle for both real-time and service-oriented domains, from hosting, infrastructure, and developer experience to continuous integration, testing, automation, and continuous delivery and deployment
Job description:How you’ll contribute
As a Software Delivery & Integration Engineer you will establish a common global way of working with continuous delivery and deployment of embedded software and calibration artifacts, while developing in-house solutions for software calibrations. You will work with passionate and experienced colleagues providing SW integration and delivery capabilities to better serve Volvo Group's customers. This role gives you the opportunity to work hands-on with the development of our SW calibration and integration systems and solutions, while collaborating with stakeholders across the global Volvo Group network.
We are in a digital transformation phase, and the shift towards software-defined vehicles puts new requirements on our SW integration, delivery flows, and systems. We need to build back-end architecture that meets Volvo Group's customer needs, with one common denominator: doing as much as possible as early as possible in the flow. In this role, you will be instrumental in understanding and interpreting stakeholder and customer needs, and in proactively suggesting and introducing changes based on that understanding.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead software delivery and deployment infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient integration processes and strategies.
- Develop in-house calibration application and drive AI integration across software and calibration processes.
- Build and share domain knowledge in software and calibration tools and processes, both locally and across the global organization.
We are looking for someone with a strong transformation and collaborative mindset who is eager to learn, explore, and understand the business. You thrive in dynamic environments, embrace new challenges and ambiguity, and take ownership of your own development and growth. With strong analytical skills, you take initiatives and drive tasks forward with determination while bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the team. You enjoy building relationships and leveraging a global network to create impact while working collaboratively across teams and functions. In addition, you contribute to a culture of continuous learning by actively sharing knowledge, exchanging insights, and supporting the development of others.
You have a passion for programming, software, and AI, who brings strong social skills, equally comfortable writing code, and seeing the bigger system context. You enjoy being the connector who spots patterns and ties people and ideas together. The role offers the opportunity to travel to different sites around the world, building contacts you can draw on to help lead technology development at home, working with stakeholders abroad. You're comfortable translating customer needs into code, asking what a requirement actually means in practice.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Physics, Artificial Intelligence, Automotive engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in Python
To qualify for the Graduate program, you:
- Have completed a Bachelors/master’s degree prior to the start of the program but not more than 3 years ago.
