Beskrivning
Rota Nanny with Scandinavian Experience – Madrid, Spain
Rotational position · €5,000–6,000 gross/month · Accommodation and flights included
A warm, international family in Madrid with Scandinavian roots is looking for a caring, experienced nanny to join their childcare team. This is a long-term rotational role for someone who wants to bring a bit of Scandinavia into the lives of two lively children.
About the family
The family has three children aged 7, 5 and 2 months. You’ll look after the two older children. An experienced baby nurse already cares for the newborn, and another nanny shares responsibility for the older two, so you’ll be part of a friendly, established team.
The role
The schedule rotates between two 15-day periods:
- 15 days on: full-time, about 5–7 hours a day, 6 days a week.
- 15 days flexible: reduced hours, sharing the work with the other nanny.
The family’s needs can change, so being flexible is essential.
What you’ll do
- Give attentive, nurturing care to the 5- and 7-year-old.
- Support their daily routines, activities and play.
- Help with homework and learning activities.
- Encourage their development and share Scandinavian culture, traditions and everyday ways of doing things.
- Work closely with the other nanny and the household staff.
- Travel with the family now and then, usually to Mallorca. A trip to the US next summer is possible but not confirmed.
About you
Essential:
- Strong first-hand knowledge of Scandinavian culture and everyday life, for example from having lived in Sweden, Denmark or Norway, so you can share its traditions, routines and values with the children
- Fluent spoken English
- Proven childcare experience, ideally with children from infancy up to 7
- Patient, kind, reliable and flexible, with a positive, team-minded attitude
- Interest in a long-term position
A bonus:
- A teaching or education background
- Experience with school-aged children and working in a nanny team
- Swedish language skills
A driving licence is not required.
What’s offered
- Salary: €5,000–6,000 gross per month (indicative; final terms agreed with the family)
- Accommodation: provided
- Meals: your own kitchen and time to shop and cook. Meals provided by the family, or shopping done by household staff, can be discussed.
- Flights: 2–3 return flights a year to your home town
- Holidays: agreed with the family; flexibility is appreciated
