IMBi Application Engineer – Senior, Göteborg

We are currently looking for a Senior IMBi Application Engineer to join an established technology team supporting a global spare-parts operation. The Role You will become part of a distributed team working across Sweden and Poland, responsible for the development, maintenance, and day-to-day operation of a portfolio of IBM i-based applications. The systems support an international dealer network of approximately 3,800 dealers and are central to processes involving spare-parts replenishment, purchasing, and buyback activities. The role combines both development-related work and operational/runtime responsibilities, making it a good fit for an experienced engineer who is comfortable working across the full application lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and further develop IBM i applications.
• Support both ongoing operational activities and one-time technical initiatives.
• Troubleshoot application and runtime-related issues.
• Contribute to improvements across the existing application landscape.
• Collaborate with colleagues located in different countries.
• Help ensure stable and reliable systems supporting business-critical processes.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to the continued evolution of the platform.

Required Experience

• Strong professional experience with IBM i.
• Ability to work independently in a senior engineering capacity.
• Comfortable taking responsibility for both development and operational activities.
• Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have Experience or knowledge in cloud technologies is considered an advantage, particularly an understanding of how IBM i environments can be integrated with or complemented by modern cloud-based technologies. Additional Information The assignment is based in Gothenburg, with approximately 25% remote work. A background screening must be successfully completed before the assignment begins.
